Winter Skin Care

Well, I am an internet marketer, which includes website design & development, graphic designer, SEO strategist, social media marketer, and so much more!

Winter is coming! Ok, that’s the only GOT reference I’ll make for the rest of the season. I promise. But seriously, winter is just around the corner, so we’ve come up with five foundational tips design to keep your skin in tip-top shape during the colder months!

Sunshiny Days

During the winter, the sun’s UV index is not as high as in the warmer months, but that doesn’t mean you should skip the sunscreen. According to the UV index scale, we’re still in the moderate to high category, so protection is always a must.

The Power of Exfoliation

Nothing beats that fresh feeling after an exfoliation session (including our full body scrub). Your skin looks and feels so shiny and bright (but not in a bad way). Body and face scrubs or professional exfoliation treatments are perfect tools to remove all those pesky dead skin cells and impurities that build up over time, leaving your skin rejuvenated.

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

Humidity during the summer months helps keep our skin hydrated, but during the wintertime humidity levels typically drop, leaving your skin dry like the desert searching for an oasis. Moisturizing is your salvation! Slather on your favourite body butter after a shower or bath to lock-in all that hydrating goodness!

Quench That Thirst

Water is really your BFF any time of the year. During the winter and holiday seasons, we have a tendency (well, I do) to indulge in more beverages and treats that can leave us dehydrated. Water will help flush out those nasty toxins and will leave your skin glowing and hydrated.

Humidity High

Yes, the humidity levels are usually lower in the winter, but they can still be high enough to cause oily skin. We recommend a proper daily skincare routine (including a nightly routine). Be sure to use a gentle cleanser, something that won’t dry out your skin, and if you’re prone to oiler skin, use a moisturizer designed for that skin type.

It’s essential to care for your skin year-round, but it’s especially crucial during the harsher winter months. Follow these five simple steps, and you’re sure to have skin that will sparkle this holiday season!
